Tragedy struck Oakville, Missouri, on Monday, February 5, 2024, when a chilling shooting took the lives of two individuals. Among the victims was a 15-year-old teenager named Collin Courtwright, whose identity was confirmed by his family, as reported by KSDK.

The incident took place at an apartment complex located in the 5600 block of Chalet Hill Drive. According to the St. Louis County Police, they received a call in the afternoon about a shooting at the aforementioned location. Upon arrival, they found three men with gunshot wounds.

The police immediately pronounced one adult victim dead at the scene. The two other victims were quickly transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, the teenager, later identified as Collin Courtwright, succumbed to his injuries en route. The third victim was treated for his injuries at the area hospital.

The police investigation led by Captain James Schneider revealed that the shooting happened in the back parking lot of the Black Forest Apartments. They believe it wasn’t a random act of violence. A car reportedly drove by the parking lot, opened fire, and then swiftly fled the scene.

Meanwhile, as the police continue their search for the suspects, Collin’s sister, Clarissa Starns, is trying to cope with her loss. She told KSDK that her brother was visiting a friend at the time of the incident. She has also set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for Collin’s funeral expenses.
